planning.

Initially, we wanted to use both Instagram and Facebook for the social media minor products. We wanted to use Instagram because we were most familiar with it and it is easy to use. The majority of Instagram's audiences are also our target audience.

We looked at various instagram pages from big film instagram pages such as Lady Bird and Call Me By Your Name, taking inspiration and coming up with our own plan for our own page. We then sketched out some ideas of what we want our social media page to look like.

In our Instagram page, we planned to include our film posters, as well as signed posters for the audience. We also wanted to include a countdown, so that we keep our audience engaged and updated so they know when we plan to release our film. As any film social media page would, we planned to include small snapshots of our film for the audience. This includes the trailer and the behind the scenes.

Even though we had a clear plan of what we wanted to post onto both the pages, we decided to create just one Facebook page. We thought about it and we concluded that 2 social media pages was unnecessary and too much work overall.

facebook page.

As one of our products, we decided to create a facebook page. We chose this platform because it was the easiest to work with. It allowed us to post both pictures and videos, and our audience's likes, comments and shares.

On our page, we added a picture of our poster featuring our protagonist on the cover, as well as our Azure logo for the profile picture. This creates branding throughout all 3 of our products. From here, we were able to start creating posts for our audience to interact with.

Facebook made it easy for us to promote our posts, and therefore our production. By boosting the post as an Ad, we were able to choose a specific age group to suit our target audience. We also chose to run this Ad through Instagram, as it is also owned by Facebook. This allowed us to gather a wider audience and recognition for our film.

To our page, we posted behind the scenes. This was the process of creating a post, writing a description and adding behind the scenes photos.

After a build up of posts, it was time to showcase our trailer. This was a huge success, and we gained many likes and encouraging comments. The audience were more than excited to watch our short film.
